Nature by definition is a phenomenon that is the antithesis to human creation. Anything left un-maintained will be reclaimed by nature, time being the factor in this change.
Photography is intrinsically modernist and this notion is being questioned in this work by stripping back the camera to its original origins of the camera obscura. There is no mediation between the aperture and the photographically sensitive material.
Using a wooden large format pinhole camera, installed outside, photographs will be exposed until the elements have degraded the camera to a state of disrepair. The fundamental unpredictability of the shifting weather conditions add to the abstract aspect of the image.
